RIDG, from Bleu Jour, is the result of Pierre Cabrera’s research on light and shadow. The French designer, won over by the technical sophistication of the object, gives it form so that its sophisticated functionality becomes a structuring and decorative presence.

Minimalism, with clean lines and rhythmic patterns, a colourful energy that embodies your state of mind and expresses your style, a sensitive touch with a high-quality finish.
Pierre Cabrera’s design approach consists of creating movement in a mass of five interlocking geometric blocks, as if in constant flux. This cinematic approach succeeds in combining the lightning speed of high-tech design with the careful slowness of artisanal workmanship, whether it be the hand-brushed aluminium or the flocking of the Haute-Couture version. As more than an architecture of space, RIDG is an invitation to rethink our relationship to time. The precision and depth of the cuts, the light and density of the colours, the force of inertia of the proportions : everything is due to the time and care devoted to the conception of the object.

Elegance by nature
The RIDG’s packaging is not only functional, it is also designed to be aesthetically pleasing and durable, and is made from a range of high-quality materials.
The cover is an exceptional object, made of organic cotton, hand-sewn in Verzeille in Occitania. Amalvi Pimenta, leather goods manufacturer, uses cotton woven and prepared by Toiles de la Montagne Noire: 100% organic cotton, combed with a dry process to increase its softness and flexibility. For the final touch, Amalvi uses vegetable-tanned leather fasteners made by a French tannery.
The RIDG packaging holds are carefully manufactured by the Embelium company in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Created from the earth, they combine two plant products: plant fibres and mushroom mycelium, which act as a natural binder. The material is high-tech by nature and possesses excellent qualities. It is impact resistant and non-flammable.
You can choose to return the blocks to the soil; they will decompose in your compost pile within twelve weeks, providing you with a healthy and fertile soil.
